Biography

Dr SAFIA AHMED completed her MBBS from SCB MEDICAL COLLEGE CUTTACK,ODISHA in 1996.She completed Post Graduation in Respiratory Medicine from VSS MEDICAL COLLEGE ,BURLA,ODISHA

She is awarded with MD ( Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases) in 2000

Work Experience (Brief)

  • After completing MD training, she worked as assistant professor in MVJ Medical college and as intensivist in Mata Chanan Devi Hospital Delhi.
  • Served in Indian Air Force as classified specialist Respiratory Medicine and medical teacher for 14 years, being posted in various tertiary care centres of armed forces including grading at Army Hospital Research and Referral(AHR&R) Delhi ,postings at Command Hospital Air Force Bangalore(CHAFB) and Army Institute of Cardiothoracic sciences Pune. Completed SSC as Professor in rank of Wing Commander from CHAFB in 2021. In addition to her clinical role she has contributed to medical training and teaching as an MCI recognized undergraduate and post graduate teacher in Armed Forces Medical College , Pune under Maharashtra University of Health Sciences and Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences,
  • She mentored and guided several PG students in their dissertations. She is a PG examiner under MUHS. Presently working as Professor(Respiratory Medicine) in EPCMS and RC since Jan 22.
